Tip 1

Start simple

If kicking is too tough, sit opposite your toddler with both of your legs open and roll the ball into their tummy, and teach them to roll it back to you. Or try hitting a balloon with them. It’s simple, active, and builds coordination.

Tip 2

Mix it up

A classic game of ‘chasings’ mixes well with kicking the ball around. Pretend to run after them and they’ll bring extra energy to the game, plus they’ll be extra worn out for sleepy time.
